On the 9th of March 2009 5th class did bicycle training with two people called Art and Padraig. First they gave us all a helmet each and then we picked out a bike each. They split us into two groups. My group was around the front with Padraig with the others around the back. First we just had to cycle up and around a cone and on the way back we had stop in a box standing up for 5 seconds. After a while we moved onto harder tasks like going in and out of cones and we learned how to signal before turning corners. Then Padraig put all the cones in a small circle and we had to go in and out of them. Next Padraig took us around the back to the other group and Art and Padraig made a big circle of cones for all of us to go in and out of. When everyone got more used to it they put a bar up that we had to go under. It got lower and lower every few minutes. Soon only these people were left in. Afterwards all of 5th class came into our classroom and we watched and heard a presentation. It was about 2 oclock when everything was finished. They let us keep the helmets. I think I speak for everyone when I say we had a brilliant time!
