Futsal Competition 2009
Futsal is an indoor soccer competition organised by the F.A.I. for boys and girls in third and fourth class

It was about 10:00 when we left for Moneenageisha. We had 11 players available. Our first match was against Gael Scoil Mhic Amhlaidh. There were at least 5 goal scoring chances, but none were scored.

In the next match we were against St. Enda's. This time we took the lead and we increased the lead in the second half. The final score was 2-1 to us. We had to wait to see if we qualified for the semi-final. Enda's were playing the Gael Scoil. If the Gaelscoil won we were out, luckily Enda's defeated them.

After a long wait we were finally playing. Our opponents were Mervue, unluckily we got trashed 5-1. After the boys competition the girls started their campaign. Their first match was against Clarenbridge who they defeated 1-0. They drew their next game and reached the final. The final was an exciting game which went to extra time and a penaly shoot out. Again unluckily they lost 2-1 but it was a great day!
