John Hanbury
and the
Irish Press Cup

John Hanbury, member of the winning All-Ireland minor hurling team and past pupil returned to the school armed with the Irish Press Cup. Half-back John played a crucial role in the success of the team that culminated in the All-Ireland defeat of Dublin. John also enjoyed great success as a member of our school teams, securing county hurling, football and a provinvial soccer title. John spoke to an enthusiastic audience and no doubt will have inspired future generations of sports stars in our school!
